Aussie Dollar Erases Loss After RBA Keeps Rate Unchanged

The Australian dollar erased losses after the central bank left its benchmark cash rate unchanged at a policy meeting on Tuesday.

The Aussie rose by as much as 0.1 percent after the decision. It bought 75.36 U.S. cents as at 2:33 p.m. in Sydney, compared with 75.38 from Monday. The currency has appreciated 1 percent since the end of last month as commodities strengthened.

The Reserve Bank of Australia left its cash rate unchanged at a record-low 1.75 percent.
