A 92 percent slump in Russian holidaymakers was the biggest contributor to a record 35 percent decline in the number of tourists to Turkey in May. The drop accelerated after a spat over the downing of a Russian jet in November led to sanctions. That rift may be resolved after the Kremlin said President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent a letter apologizing for the incident.
