John Mack Says He Plans to Stay on LendingClub’s Board

John Mack, the former chief executive officer of Morgan Stanley, says he plans to stay on the board of LendingClub Corp.

Mack, speaking in an interview Monday on CNBC, declined to comment on Renaud Laplanche, the former LendingClub CEO who departed in May after an internal review into a botched loan sale. LendingClub said Laplanche failed to disclose his interests in a fund that the company invested in. Mack, 71, held a personal stake in that fund, according to a regulatory filing in April. He hasn’t been accused of impropriety.
