Some Russian Soccer Fans to Be Expelled From France, AFP Says

A group of Russian soccer fans will be expelled from France as they are suspected of presenting a risk to public order, Agence France-Presse reports, citing French authorities.

The identities of 29 Russian fans at a hotel at Mandelieu-la-Napoule near Marseille were being checked Tuesday and it has already been decided to expel some of them from the country, AFP said.

The Russian and English soccer teams were both threatened with being expelled from the Euro 2016 championship after days of violence in Marseille.
