Post Thrives Amid Cereal Slump by Diversifying: Chart

Post Holdings Inc., the maker of Honey Bunches of Oats and Cocoa Pebbles, has seen its stock surge more than 70 percent over the last year, even as U.S. consumers turned away from cereal and an avian-flu outbreak hurt its Michael Foods egg business. Post, founded in 1895, has diversified its offerings through acquisitions in recent years, moving into cheese, potatoes and hot cereal.
