France’s Hollande Considers Abolishing Job of PM: Europe1

French President Francois Hollande is considering proposing the abolition of the post of prime minister as part of a plan to speed the legislative process, Europe1 radio station reports, without citing anyone.

The proposal may include stripping the senate of its legislative role so that only the national assembly would need to vote through reforms. Hollande judges that the current structure means that reforms can be contested over too long a period, Europe1 said.
