Israel-Palestine Talks ‘Blocked’, France’s Ayrault Says

The foreign ministers of 20 nations including U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry who gather in Paris today to discuss the Palestinian-Israeli peace process must find a way out of a dead end, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault said Friday.

“Everything is blocked" at present, Ayrault told France Info radio station, adding that the impasse creates openings for al-Qaeda and IS propaganda. "Everything must be done to create the conditions for dialogue," he said.

Ayrault added in the interview that he wants the U.K. to stay in the European Union, and cited wartime British Prime Minister Winston Churchill as favoring the creation of a United States of Europe.
