S&P Global CFO Jack Callahan Resigns for Position in Academia

S&P Global Inc.’s Chief Financial Officer Jack Callahan has stepped down from his role at the world’s largest ratings company, S&P said Wednesday.

Callahan, who became CFO in 2010, is leaving for a position at an academic institution, according to a press release. It didn’t name the institution. Christine Elliott, a spokeswoman for the firm, declined to provide any additional details regarding Callahan’s plans.

Callahan didn’t immediately respond to a message asking for comment.

Elliott said Callahan played a key role in managing the company’s transition into a stronger financial data and analytics firm, which included a rebranding of itself in April from McGraw Hill Financial Inc.

Callahan will remain with the company until August and will assist in an internal and external search process for a successor, S&P said in the release.
