Hong Kong Has World’s Highest Prime Warehouse Rents: Chart

Hong Kong can boast another “most expensive” when it comes to real estate. Prime warehouse rents in the city are the costliest globally at $28.94 per square foot a year, topping Tokyo and London, according to CBRE Group Inc.’s first survey of logistics space as of the fourth quarter of 2015. Rents for the most sought after warehouses in global hubs increased 2.8 percent in the three months ended Dec. 31 from a year earlier, amid strong demand for modern distribution facilities to accommodate growing global trade and e-commerce, CBRE said.
