Falling Currency Volatility Defies Hollande’s Complaints: Chart

Francois Hollande picked a bad day to complain about foreign-exchange volatility. Speaking at a press conference after Group-of-Seven leaders met in Japan, the French president said that price swings in the currency markets are a concern. The comments came with the JPMorgan Global FX Volatility Index at the lowest since January, and at a level that’s below its 10-year average.
