Phibro Expands With Hires From Morgan Stanley, Harbinger Capital

Phibro LLC hired two executives to expand its commodities trading business.

Dana Auslander was appointed as managing director in charge of investor relations, and Kevin O’Reilly will be advisory director guiding product development and fundraising, the Stamford, Connecticut-based company said in a statement on Thursday. Phibro was shuttered after 113 years in 2014 and then restarted under the direction of ex-Morgan Stanley co-head of commodities Simon Greenshields.

Auslander worked for several years at Blackstone Group LP, where she supervised the Blackstone Alternative Asset Management Product Development Group. After leaving Blackstone she was global head of business development at Harbinger Capital Partners LLC, according to Phibro.

O’Reilly spent two decades in the commodities industry, mostly at Morgan Stanley, where he worked with Greenshields and ran the bank’s commodities business in China.
