Judge Says VW ‘On Track’ to Meet Deadline for Diesel-Rigged Cars

A federal judge overseeing lawsuits over Volkswagen AG’s diesel-cheating cars said the automaker is on pace to meet next month’s deadline for a plan to fix 480,000 vehicles in the U.S. or get them off the road.

No details were available on what’s said to be a settlement worth about $10 billion to resolve civil claims over cars rigged to cheat pollution rules.
