Pound No Longer Worst Performer With Brexit Cloud Lifting: Chart

Exactly five weeks before U.K. voters decide on whether to exit the European Union, the pound has lost its tag as the worst-performing currency in the developed world. Sterling is getting a boost as an increasing number of surveys, backed by betting-company odds, show a growing lead for the pro-EU campaign. Retail sales on Thursday lifted some of the economic gloom that’s been dogging the currency.
