Hollande Says Improvement in French Economy Is a ‘Reality’

French President Francois Hollande said the improvement in the nation’s economy is a reality even if all citizens have yet to feel it.

Gross domestic product will expand 1.5 percent this year and the budget deficit will be less than 3 percent of GDP in 2017, Hollande said today on Europe 1 radio.

“When I said that things are better, it wasn’t to suggest that everything is fine but that it’s improving,” Hollande said. The econmomy is improving, “it’s a reality,” he said.
