A rebound in the dollar is challenging China’s policy makers, who have been content to let the yuan track losses in the greenback versus peers. With the dollar now having its best six-day gain in a year, authorities are being forced to choose between allowing the yuan to rise too -- thereby hurting exporters -- or pushing the currency lower, and risk spurring destabilizing outflows.
