Scotiabank's U.S. Rates Strategist Guy Haselmann Leaves Lender

Bank of Nova Scotia’s U.S. rates strategist Guy Haselmann has left the firm after six years to pursue other interests.

Haselmann, 52, a director in Scotiabank’s global banking and markets unit, specialized in macroeconomic and capital markets analysis, providing assessments to clients, traders and sales teams, the Toronto-based lender said Monday in a memo to employees. He “has been instrumental in shaping the bank’s decision-making, portfolio construction and asset allocation processes," the bank said.

E-mail messages sent to Haselmann seeking comment weren’t immediately returned.
