Buffett Foreign Debt Allocation Falls for Seventh Quarter: Chart

Warren Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc., which has been shrinking its fixed-income portfolio for years by reducing the allocation to corporate debt, mortgage-backed securities and municipal bonds, accelerated cuts to foreign government holdings in the first quarter. Buffett, who released details on the portfolio in a regulatory filing Friday, has been focusing on buying whole companies, rather than reinvesting in low-yielding bonds.
