Global Slowdown Concerns at All-Time High for Endowments: Chart

A record number of U.S. endowment and foundation managers see the global economic slowdown as the biggest threat to near-term performance, according to a recent study by the Boston-based consulting firm NEPC. Eighty-two percent of the 65 managers polled said they considered such stalling growth the biggest threat in the first quarter of this year, up from 67 percent in the fourth quarter of 2015. Nine percent of the endowment and foundation managers polled saw potential conflict overseas to be their performance’s biggest threat.
