L Brands Inc. remains in a knot following the departure of Sharen Jester Turney, former head of its panty purveyor Victoria’s Secret. The owner of the lingerie chain and Bath & Body Works shops posted preliminary first-quarter profit and same-store sales that trailed analysts’ estimates. Those results pushed down shares to a 52-week low Thursday and made the company the biggest laggard in the benchmark S&P 500 Index and its Consumer Discretionary Sector Index.
