For Intel Corp., it can go one of two ways. Server-chip sales will either bail out the world’s biggest maker of semiconductors -- again -- as evidenced by gross margins above rival Qualcomm Inc., or prove insufficient to offset the accelerating descent of its PC-processor business. Analysts estimate Intel will post sales of $13.8 billion and an adjusted gross margin of 61.9 percent when it reports results for the first quarter on Tuesday.
