Japan's Richest Lags Billionaire Peers on Uniqlo Slump: Chart

Japan’s richest person, Fast Retailing Co. chairman Tadashi Yanai, has seen his fortune plummet by $4.6 billion this year amid a 34.2 percent drop in the shares of the Uniqlo parent. The casual clothing mogul’s woes contrast with the other Japanese billionaires ranked among the world’s richest, whose fortunes have climbed an average of 0.2 percent since Jan. 1, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.
