ECB Skeptics Drag European Stocks to Lowest Versus U.S.: Chart

Skepticism about whether the European Central Bank’s stimulus efforts will improve the region’s economic prospects has sent the Stoxx Europe 600 Index 8.5 percent lower this year, taking it to a record low versus the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index. In the U.S., optimism that the Federal Reserve will remain supportive of growth has helped the American gauge erase its losses for the year.
