Yen Breaching 110 Per Dollar Puts `I' Word Into Play: Chart

Japanese market intervention was on the mind of some currency strategists Tuesday as the yen briefly breached 110 per dollar in New York, the strongest level in 1 1/2 years. At stake is the Bank of Japan’s push for inflation: Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said he’ll keep monitoring currency markets and reiterated the potential for more interest-rate cuts.
