Traders Are Better Off With Mid Caps, More So in Germany: Chart

European mid-sized companies have fared better than their bigger counterparts in recent years, and the trend is particularly notable in Germany. The nation’s DAX Mid-Cap Index has surged almost fivefold since the market low of 2009, more than double the gains in the benchmark DAX Index, which is heavily reliant on exporters. With concerns about global growth at the helm this year, the smaller gauge’s losses are just a third of the 8.8 percent plunge in the DAX.
