Cohen's Point72 Said to Hire Four Money Managers for London

Steven A. Cohen’s Point72 Asset Management has hired four money managers as it builds its investment unit in London, according to people with knowledge of the matter.

Arjun Menon, formerly with Moore Capital Management, and Sofien Ben Ouaghram who worked at Credit Suisse Group AG, joined as portfolio managers, two people said, asking not to be identified because the information is private.

Sebastian Dickgiesser, formerly at GLG Partners LP, and Asad Abedi, who worked at Millennium Capital Partners LLP, have also been hired, one of the people said. Jonathan Gasthalter, an external spokesman for Point72 at Sard Verbinnen & Co., declined to comment.

The investment firm said earlier that Will Tovey, who was the co-head of equity distribution for Barclays Plc in Europe, is joining the firm as head of its London office.

The appointments follow an announcement in January that Point72 was seeking to hire more than 40 traders and analysts as part of its London expansion plan.

Menon, Dickgiesser and Ben Ouaghram declined to comment, while Abedi couldn’t be contacted.
