Kenya Names Ex-Airport Security Chief as Government Spokesman

Kenya’s government appointed Eric Kiraithe as its spokesman, the presidency said.

Kiraithe was previously general manager for security services at the Kenya Airports Authority and a former spokesman for the Kenyan police, according to a statement e-mailed Wednesday from the capital, Nairobi.

Kiraithe will report to the Interior Ministry, while the office of State House spokesman Manoah Esipisu will remain within the executive office of the president, the presidency said.
