JPMorgan Names Youngwood Consumer Bank CFO, Succeeding Owen

  • Youngwood previously was head of investor relations for bank
  • David Owen was named chief administrative officer last month

JPMorgan Chase & Co. named Sarah Youngwood chief financial officer of consumer and community banking, succeeding David Owen.

Youngwood, previously head of investor relations, will report to Gordon Smith, the unit’s chief executive officer, and company CFO Marianne Lake, the two senior managers said in a memo to employees, a copy of which was obtained Tuesday by Bloomberg. Youngwood has worked at the bank for almost two decades, including stints in London and Paris, according to the memo.

Owen was named chief administrative officer last month and will oversee an office that supports the company’s operations in 60 countries, the bank said in an internal memo at the time. Youngwood will continue to manage investor relations through the firm’s first-quarter earnings release in April, according to the memo from Smith and Lake. A successor has yet to be named, the bank said.
