Sweden Is European Magnet for Children Fleeing Turmoil: Chart

Sweden has become a haven for unaccompanied minors fleeing trouble spots in Afghanistan and Syria. Housing children seeking refuge will cost Swedish taxpayers about $2.5 billion this year and $2.8 billion the next, according to the Migration Agency. About half of Sweden’s total budget for refugees is projected to be spent on unaccompanied children this year.
