JBIC to Supply Loan to Wind Project Off Coast of the Netherlands

The Japan Bank for International Cooperation will provide a loan of as much as 244 million euros ($273 million) for a wind project off the coast of the Netherlands operated by a venture between Mitsubishi Corp. and Eneco Holding N.V.

Other financial institutions will also provide loans, bringing the total to about 443 million euros, JBIC said in a statement Friday. No other details were provided about the other lenders.

The loan will provide long-term funding for the Luchterduinen wind farm, according to the statement.
