Labor Data Pain Looming for Aussie Rallying to 2016 High: Chart

Australia’s dollar faces a hurdle in Friday’s U.S. non-farm payrolls if its reaction to the data in the past is any guide. The Aussie has dropped an average of 0.8 percent against the U.S. currency within six hours of the release of payrolls in the last six months, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. Australia’s dollar has advanced 3.4 percent this week, set for its best performance since October.
