Ashmore's Distressed-Debt Head Santiago Pardo Said to Leave FundBy
Santiago Pardo, a money manager and head of distressed debt at Ashmore Group Plc in London, has left the firm, according to people familiar with the matter, who asked not to be identified because the information is private.
Pardo’s status on the U.K.’s Financial Conduct Authority register has been inactive since Jan. 28. He joined Ashmore in 2006 and previously worked at Deutsche Bank AG and Goldman Sachs Group Inc. in New York, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Ashmore’s funds under management dropped to $49 billion at the end of 2015 from $64 billion a year earlier, according to the company’s statements. A spokeswoman for Ashmore declined to comment on his departure.
