Berkshire Hathaway Agrees to Buy 66-Megawatt Portfolio of Solar

Berkshire Hathaway Energy Co., Warren Buffett’s energy holding company, agreed to buy 66 megawatts of community solar projects in Minnesota from the Minneapolis-based developer Geronimo Energy Inc.

The solar projects are spread across 21 sites in 16 counties and are expected to be complete by the end of next year, Geronimo said in a statement on its website Thursday.

Combined with an earlier deal, Berkshire Hathaway has now agreed to buy a total of almost 100 megawatts of community solar projects from Geronimo.
