Kenyan President Suspends Supreme Court Judge, Appoints Tribunal

Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta has suspended Supreme Court Judge Philip Tonui, a day after the government suggested postponing picking a tribunal to probe bribery allegations against him.

The president also appointed a seven-member tribunal to investigate Tonui’s conduct, Kenyatta’s spokesman, Manoah Esipisu, said on his Twitter account. Tonui denies the allegations.
