UBS Hires KKR's O'Donovan, Deutsche Bank's Schwarzschildby
Michael O'Donovan will be a managing director for Americas ECM
Adam Schwarzschild will focus on Americas financial sponsors
UBS Group AG hired two bankers -- one for its equity capital markets business and one for the financial sponsors coverage group -- to grow its services for sponsor clients.
Michael O’Donovan will join Switzerland’s biggest bank as a managing director in ECM Americas, according to an internal memo sent by Ros Stephenson, UBS’s chairman of global corporate client solutions. A spokeswoman for UBS confirmed the contents of the memo. O’Donovan, formerly of KKR & Co.’s Capital Markets unit, will head the strategic equity solutions group in the Americas and oversee the equity-linked business and the structuring of private deals.
Adam Schwarzschild will also join UBS, as an executive director in financial sponsors with a focus on the Americas. He was formerly at Deutsche Bank AG where he also oversaw private coverage.
UBS has been adding to its corporate client solutions teams. In November, the firm hired four bankers from Jefferies Group LLC to build its global technology business. Last August, Max Justicz also joined the Americas financial sponsors group from Goldman Sachs Group Inc.
