Japan’s currency was little changed at 114.13 per dollar as of 10:01 a.m. in London, after earlier rising as much as 0.6 percent.

The yen had climbed earlier after China’s central bank unnerved investors by weakening the yuan fixing by the most in more than a month, boosting demand for havens.
