Airbus Raises 2015 Tally; Order Backlog Value Tops $1 Trillion

Airbus CEO: Low Cost Segment is Very Dynamic

Airbus Group SE said it’s raising its tally for last year, taking its total backlog of aircraft orders to $1 trillion.

Airbus will now include an additional net 44 aircraft to last year’s order book, leading to an adjustment of the 2015 full year commercial results announced in early January, the planemaker said in a statement Tuesday.

This increases Airbus’s 2015 total gross orders to 1,190 -- valued at $159.9 billion -- and total net orders to 1,080 -- valued at $141.6 billion, the company said. The backlog at the end of last year stood at 6,831 planes valued at $1 trillion, Airbus said.
