In a statement dated Feb. 12, the Marxist group known as the National Liberation Army, or ELN, declared a curfew from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17. The group, which operates near the border with Venezuela and in some areas of Western Colombia, promoted the curfew via its Twitter accounts @ELN_RANPAL and @ELN_Colombia, according to local media including El Tiempo newspaper. Both accounts are now suspended.
