Tobacco Rally Sparks Wealth Surge for Indonesia's Richest: Chart

Indonesia’s wealthiest person, Tan Siok Tjien, has added $922 million to her net worth this year, the most among Asia’s richest, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Tan has a controlling stake in cigarette maker Gudang Garam, whose shares are near a record high amid a rally in Indonesian tobacco stocks. The Jakarta Composite Index is also the top performer in Asia, up three percent this year.
