FTSE 100 Profits Drop $42 Billion With More Pain Expected: Chart

Profits from FTSE 100 Index companies have tumbled by about a fifth in 2015, or 29 billion pounds ($42 billion), and analysts see a further drop this year as U.K. companies suffer from a series of headwinds ranging from plummeting commodity prices to lower growth in emerging markets. The plunge in earnings in 2015 represents roughly a third of all U.K. dividends paid last year.
