Dominion to Buy Power From SunEnergy1 Solar Farm

Dominion Resources Inc. agreed to buy power from a 20-megawatt solar farm the North Carolina-based clean-power developer SunEnergy1 LLC is planning in Virginia.

Dominion will also buy the project’s renewable energy credits under a 20-year power purchase agreement, it said in a statement Monday. Terms weren’t disclosed.

The project in Chesapeake will be able to power 5,000 local homes and is expected to begin operations this year.
