Canada Wheat Stocks Fall 19% in 2015 to 20.7 Mln Metric Tons

Canada, one of the world’s biggest wheat producers, said inventories fell 19 percent in 2015.

Wheat stocks dropped to 20.7 million metric tons on Dec. 31 from 25.6 million at the end of 2014, Statistics Canada said Thursday in a report.

Canola stocks fell 3.9 percent to 12.1 million tons. Canada is the top producer of the oilseed.

The government surveyed 8,600 farmers from January 4 to January 14.
