Sharif to Reopen Sale Talks as Pakistan Air Protests Turn Deadly

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wants to restart stake sale negotiations with unions representing the employees of Pakistan’s national carrier, after protests against privatization turned deadly this week.

"Talks should resume," Privatization Minister Mohammad Zubair said in an interview in Islamabad on Wednesday. "I think that’s the key thing. We would like the privatization to come back to center-stage rather than law and order being discussed all the time."
