Alexander, the former Liberal Democrat Treasury chief secretary, lost his seat at the U.K.’s general election last year, the newspaper said.

While Britain would take one of the resident vice-president’s jobs, Germany would take a vice-president’s role and one of the two vice-chairs on the AIIB’s board of governors, the FT said, citing one unidentified person familiar with operations at the bank, which is China’s version of the Washington-based World Bank.
