Verizon Jumps After Topping Wireless Subscriber Estimates: Chart

Verizon Communications Inc. rose as much as 4.3 percent, the most since August 2013, after posting fourth-quarter profit that beat analysts’ estimates and adding 1.5 million new wireless customers.

The results show Verizon weathering the price battles with T-Mobile US Inc. and Sprint Corp., which seek to woo away its customers with offers like free video streaming and $1-a-month iPhones.
