Mitsubishi UFJ Hires Reignier for EMEA Structured Trade Finance

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group Inc. hired François-Xavier Reignier as head of structured trade finance for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Reignier took up the position on Jan. 4, joining a team that provides financing to commodity producers, according to an e-mail from the company. He spent the past 14 years in a similar field at BNP Paribas SA, according to the Tokyo-based bank.

Mitsubishi UFJ also hired Faycal Tazi and Francois Colombani for its commodity finance team last year. Tazi worked at BNP Paribas in Geneva for eight years prior to his new role.

The bank separately hired two credit analysts in November, according to another e-mail from the company on Monday. Lars Dueser, who joined from Morgan Stanley, will cover telecoms and industrial sectors, and Konrad Boszko, who previously worked in the credit research team at AIG Asset Management, will focus on utilities and automakers.
