Kenyan Gun Attack Leaves Two Dead in Bus in Northern Region

A morning gun attack on a Kenyan bus in the north left two people dead and another two critically injured, a conductor in the bus they were traveling on said.

Four masked gunmen sprayed the bus with bullets when the driver refused to stop, the vehicle’s conductor, Ismail Alasow, said by phone. The bus was traveling between the towns of Mandera and Wajir when the incident happened.

The region is close to Somalia, where Islamists linked to al-Qaeda are waging an insurgency, and often suffers intermittent gun and grenade attacks.
