Mali Says Two Suspects Linked to Bamako Attack Arrested

Two suspects linked to the Nov. 20 attack on the Radisson Blu hotel in Mali’s capital, Bamako, were arrested, a government official said.

The two were detained in Bamako’s Missabougou neighborhood, Modibo Nama Traore, the officer in charge of public affairs at the presidency, said by phone from the capital Thursday.

Militants linked to al-Qaeda killed at least 20 people at the hotel in the biggest-ever attack on international interests in the West African nation. Mali investigators have said they are searching for several people who aided at least two gunmen, one a teenager and the other about 22 years old, who took 170 hostages at the hotel.
