Euro-Area Bonds Erase Gain as Yellen Comments on Interest Rates

European bonds erased an advance as U.S. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen said that a December rate move is a “live possibility” if data hold up.

The yield on Spanish 10-year bonds was little changed at

1.75 percent as of 3:59 p.m. London time, after falling as much as five basis points earlier.

The yield on similar-maturity Italian bonds was at 1.66 percent, after earlier falling to 1.59 percent.
