Italy’s Yield Premium Over Bunds Declines to Least Since March

Gains on Italy’s 10-year bonds sent their yields to the lowest since March relative to German bunds, the region’s benchmark sovereign securities.

The yield gap dropped as much as four basis points to slip below 1 percentage point after European Central Bank President Mario Draghi suggested the euro area may need fresh monetary stimulus by December. He reiterated that the central bank’s bond purchases can be adjusted for duration, size and composition.
