Oscar Pistorius to Serve Sentence Under House Arrest, SABC Says

South Africa’s parole board ruled that Paralympic gold medalist Oscar Pistorius should leave prison to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest, SABC News reported.

Pistorius, who started his five-year jail term for manslaughter in October last year for the shooting of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, will be released on Oct. 20, the Johannesburg-based broadcaster said on its Twitter account.
